Nationality: Indonesian
Q1: Can you talk about yourself?
Hi, my name is Natasha. I'm from Palembang, the capital city of South Sumatra. My hobby is creating films and other audio-visual content. I was also involved in a local film company in Indonesia, producing short films, advertising videos, annual events, and many others.
Q2: Why did you choose Xiamen University Malaysia?
As I mentioned before, I love doing something to develop my ability. Currently, I'm studying at XMUM Advertising programme to expand my knowledge and skills in media and advertising.
Q3: What is it like to study at Xiamen University Malaysia?
Many other people said that university life is under pressure, stress and other horrible things. But so far at XMUM, my experience is that the classes are very enjoyable, and the subjects are relevant to our daily life.
XMUM have quite a lot of facilities. Even though I’m living in the campus area, there are so many things we can do here. I’m sure students here can live a balanced life.
I love Malaysia. Because we have a similar culture in Indonesia, it is not very hard for me to adapt to this new culture. The people here are also very humble and friendly, they would always help me if I meet obstacles.
Q4: Tell us your future plan!
I hope I can be a good student in the Advertising Programme so that I can become a good person in my life and my surroundings. I also want to be a pioneer in Indonesia along with all my friends and community.

Name: Wu Zhijing
Programme: Bachelor of Management in Accounting
Nationality: Chinese
Q1: Can you talk about yourself?
My name is Wu Zhijing, majoring in Accounting. I come from a gorgeous city in the south of China. I love photography, as it helps me record beautiful moments that I may not remember one day in the future.
Q2: Why did you choose Xiamen University Malaysia?
Accounting is my favourite major. After Gaokao, I did not find a suitable accounting course in China, and XMUM just happens to have this programme. My parents recommended me this university, then I searched on the internet - The moment I saw the pictures of XMUM, I fell in love with it.
Q3: What it is like to study at Xiamen University Malaysia?
I thought Malaysia is a pure English-speaking country, but there are many people who can speak Chinese. The environment has also improved my speaking and listening abilities. There are also a lot of presentations in my courses, which is very different from my previous learning experience.
Both the swimming pool and the gym room are attractive to me. I go to the cardio zone a lot, and the treadmills and climbing machines meet my needs well. The scenery of the swimming pool area is also very beautiful. When I look up, I can see the gorgeous sky and the beautiful teaching building, which make me feel relaxed and happy.
Q4: Tell us your future plan!
I want to join more courses and activities so that I can learn more. As I am still new here, I hope to practice my English to better talk with my lecturers and friends.
