Two Presenters from School of Communication Recognised at MENTION2025

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates two presenters from the School of Communication for being awarded the best presenter award at the 19th Biennial International Conference in Media and Communications (MENTION2025), held from 28-30 October at Menara Affin, TRX.

Under the theme “Media and Communication for Change: Advancing Societal Transformation and Wellbeing”, the event convened academics, postgraduate students, industry experts, and educators to discuss emerging issues and innovations.

At this year’s conference, Ms. Sivasangari Genapathy, Lecturer in the Communication Programme, was recognised for her study titled “Effectiveness of a Community-Based Social and Behaviour Change Communication Intervention on Knowlesi Malaria Prevention Behaviour Among the At-Risk Community in Felda Aring 8, Gua Musang”. 

Another Best Presenter Award went to Anya Hoh, an undergraduate student from the Journalism Programme, for her case study “Twitter Users' Perception of Sexual Crime Towards South Korea Deepfake Crisis”.
