University of Sydney Representatives Share Postgraduate Application Information
On 27 November 2018, representatives from University of Sydney - including Dr. Josiah Poon, International Director of School of Computer Science, and Dr. John Kavanagh, Deputy Head of School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering - gave a talk on postgraduate programme application to XMUM students.Some of the information shared during the talk are:
Planting for a Greener and Better Campus
1176 trees and 3080 shrubs were planted in Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 11 Nov 2018, adding of greenery and vibrancy to the campus. YB Tan Kok Wai, Malaysian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to China, launched the Eco-Green Awareness Campaign as the guest of honor and remarked on the importance of the event.“Tree planting helps to restore greenery and beautify homes.”
Indonesian High School Students Explore Campus Life at XMUM
A group of Indonesian high school students and parents, mainly from Tangerang, Gading Serpong, and Jakarta, had an insightful glimpse of campus life when they visited Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 8 November 2018.

Prof. Omer Rana, International Dean of the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering, Cardiff University, came to XMUM to host a seminar on Integrating IoT/Edge Devices with Cloud Systems for Real Time Sensing & Data Analytics on 30 October 2018.
