Wesak Week 7.0 Brings Students Together through Reflection Culture and Connection
From 25 to 27 May 2026, the XMUM Buddhist Society organized Wesak Week 7.0, a three-day campus event featuring a series of cultural, reflective, and wellness-oriented activities. The event aimed to promote compassion, mindfulness, and harmony among students and staff, while encouraging meaningful interpersonal connections within the university community.
Throughout the event, a variety of activities were held, including an exhibition booth, a symbolic bathing ceremony, interactive workshops, game booths, a sharing session on mindfulness and life reflections by Bhante Mangala and 传能法师, as well as a music concert. Participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiences, learn different perspectives on well-being and reflection, and connect with peers in a relaxed and interactive environment.
A key highlight of Wesak Week 7.0 was the closing music concert. Performers including Melody of Truth and Beauty, PBUM, Buddy Sing, and XMUM students took part in the showcase, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with music and energy. The performances conveyed themes of positivity, reflection, and joy, leaving a strong impression on the audience. Students sang along enthusiastically and waved their flashlights in unison, transforming the venue into a sea of light and bringing the event to a warm and uplifting close.
