Biography

Yip Tien Ming is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Business, School of Economics and Management, Xiamen University Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Distinction.), a Master of Applied Statistics (Distinction.), and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Universiti Malaya. His research interests include applied econometrics, demographic economics, financial economics, and macroeconomics. Thus far, he has published 31 research articles in journals indexed in SSCI and SCOPUS, such as the Economic Change and Restructuring, Singapore Economic Review, Acta Oeconomica, Bulletin of Monetary Economics and Banking, Journal of Central Banking Theory and Practice, Journal of Financial Economic Policy, and Institutions and Economies.  He also worked as a project consultant for the “In-Depth Economic Analysis of the 5G Technology Implementation in Malaysia-Phase 1: National Level Study”, commissioned by the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
