Biography

Dr. Tan Khar Mang (Carmen) is currently an Assistant Professor at the Finance Department, School of Economics and Management, Xiamen University Malaysia, with a more than six years of teaching experience in the field of Finance. She is currently a permanent member of Beta Gamma Sigma, The International Business Honor Society since April 2019, and member of The Corporate Governance Institute since December 2024. Dr. Tan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Economics majoring in Finance from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) as a graduate on time candidate in 2018. She has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Finance from the same university in 2015, and Bachelor of Finance with Honours from University Utara Malaysia (UUM) with First Class Award in 2012. She was awarded My Brain Scholarship from Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia to complete her postgraduate studies of Ph.D and M.Sc. For her outstanding performance of academic research publications during Ph.D study, she was then awarded with Yayasan Bursa Malaysia Award from Faculty of Economics and Management, University Putra Malaysia in 2019. She has journal articles published in refereed journals, and book published in reputable publisher. She has served as journal reviewer in publishers with good ranking too.
