Biography
Nursyahida Mohd Jaafar is a lecturer and academic professional with a background in Human Sciences, majoring in Political Science. She has extensive experience in higher education and is actively involved in teaching, curriculum development, assessment design, and student mentoring.
She teaches courses under the Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU) framework, including Malaysia Studies, Ethics and Civilization, Philosophy, and Contemporary Issues. As a Module Leader, she is responsible for coordinating course delivery, developing learning materials, reviewing assessments, and ensuring constructive alignment between learning outcomes and assessment strategies in accordance with higher education standards and accreditation requirements.
Her areas of expertise include Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU), Malaysia Studies, Ethics and Civilization, Philosophy and Contemporary Issues, and Critical Thinking. She is committed to promoting holistic education by cultivating critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and civic responsibility among students through meaningful and student-centred learning experiences.
Throughout her academic career, she has contributed to curriculum enhancement, academic quality assurance, and the development of innovative teaching and learning practices. She remains dedicated to empowering students with the knowledge, values, and skills necessary to become responsible and informed members of society.
