Biography

Heng Yu Ping is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing and Data Science (SCDS) at Xiamen University Malaysia. She joined the university in September 2019 and has since held several key academic roles, including Final Year Project (FYP) Coordinator from 2020 to 2024 and SCDS Student Council Advisor beginning in 2024. She received her Master and Bachelor degrees from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2008 and 2010, respectively. With over a decade of teaching experience at the undergraduate level, Yu Ping has taught a wide range of courses including game design, augmented reality technology, 3D animation, and graphic/multimedia programming. Her research interests focus on immersive technologies (AR/VR/MR), game-based learning, and educational technology. She is particularly engaged in game studies and interactive media, emphasizing theory, design, and implementation. Through her teaching and research, Yu Ping continues to contribute to the advancement of digital media education and the development of interactive learning environments.
