Biography

Maryani Binti Ahmad is an experienced Malay Language educator with over 12 years of teaching experience in higher education institutions in Malaysia and abroad. She has previously served at Tianjin Foreign Studies University, China, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea, where she contributed to the teaching and development of the Malay Language for both international and local learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Her academic expertise spans Malay Language instruction across multiple proficiency levels, with a strong focus on language acquisition, communication skills, and academic language development. She is also actively involved in university-level Malay Language and national language courses, as well as community engagement and service-learning initiatives.

In addition to teaching, Maryani Binti Ahmad has contributed to curriculum development, academic writing, and pedagogical innovation, particularly in the integration of technology in language education. Her research interests include Malay language pedagogy, foreign language learning, and technology-enhanced teaching and learning. She currently serves as a lecturer at Xiamen University Malaysia, where she is also a Module Leader for Bahasa Melayu courses and Community Service Advisor, and continues to engage in academic training and professional development at both national and international levels.
