Research Interest

Clara’s research explores identity, gender, and representation across literature, film, and visual arts, with a particular focus on the works of Malaysian women writers and artists. She engages in interdisciplinary inquiry through arts-based methodologies, including visual art-making, narrative inquiry, and participatory cultural studies, with an emphasis on Southeast Asia.
