Biography

Dr. Ahmad Affandi Supli is a Senior Lecturer in the Digital Media Technology (DMT) program at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), with over 10 years of experience in teaching IT-related courses. He holds an MSc and PhD in Multimedia Studies from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and a BSc in Information Technology from Universitas Sriwijaya, Indonesia. His research focuses on game design and development, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), interactive holograms, and metaverse applications, with a particular emphasis on game-based learning and multimedia applications. Dr. Ahmad has published extensively in SCOPUS-indexed journals, WOS, and international conferences, receiving numerous research grants for his work in immersive learning technologies. His projects include AR mobile applications, interactive 3D construction using holographic displays, and algorithm visualization. He is an award-winning researcher, having earned Gold, Silver, and Special Awards from prestigious competitions such as the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE), International Technology Expo (ITEX), and FUSION Design Competition. In addition to his research, Dr. Ahmad has served as a trainer, speaker, and judge at various workshops and seminars, and he is an editorial team member and reviewer for several international journals. His dedication to enhancing education through technology continues to inspire students and fellow researchers alike.
