The School of Computing and Data Science congratulate Dr. Burra Venkata Durga Kumar, Dr. Teh Jia Yew, and Mohamed Ahmed Ayman Ahmed Ezzat, a student of the Computer Science and Technology programme, for their paper accepted and presented at IEEE-ICCSE 2023: The 18th International Conference on Computer Science & Education, which was held during 1-7 December 2023. 

Real estate is an essential part of our daily life, containing a vast amount of data that needs to be stored and organized. The role of the real-estate registration system is crucial in this regard. Traditional real-estate registration systems encounter various issues, including fraud, insufficient data privacy, and inefficiency, which must be minimized or solved. 

Entitled “A Blockchain-based Real Estates Registration System”, this research proposed blockchain technology to address the above-mentioned challenges. It relies on a distributed ledger to store data and offers immutability, transparency, and smart contracts to set the rules of the registration process. 

Mohamed Ahmed Ayman Ahmed Ezzat said: "I am truly honored to present my research paper in the ICCSE 2023. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and academic excellence that went into developing this blockchain-based real-estate registration system. I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Burra Venkata Durga Kumar and Dr. Teh Jia Yew for supervising me through this project. Getting accepted at the conference has inspired me to continue finding innovative solutions to real-world challenges."
