XMUM Hosts 2nd Research Management and Administration Symposium
From 23 to 24 November 2023, Xiamen University Malaysia co-organised the 2nd Research Management and Administration Symposiumtogether with Malaysia Association of Research Managers and Administrators (MyRMA).Themed “Nurturing Professionalism in Research Management”, the symposium was held under the support of the Department of Higher Education Malaysia, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, and welcomed more than 100 participants from 10 countries.

Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is ranked 5th in Malaysia based on the Natural Index Ranking in 2023 (1 September 2022 to 31 August 2023).Natural Index is an open database that tracks institutions and countries and their scientific output. The Index tracks contributions to research articles published in high-quality naturalscience and healthscience journals, chosen based on reputation by an independent group of researchers.

Organised by Department of Physics, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) and Malaysian Institute of Physics (Institut Fizik Malaysia, IFM), the Malaysian National Physics Conference (PERFIK) 2023 was successfully held from 28 to 30 November 2023.

The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun, Director of the the Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy & Catalysis Technology (CONNECT) and Assistant Dean of the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, for being featured as an Emerging Investigator by the journal Materials Horizons, a high impact and prestigious journal by the Royal Society of Chemistry (Q1, IF: 13.3).

The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Haw Choon Yian from the Department of New Energy Science and Engineering, School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for publishing their recent research article entitled “Augmenting Light-to-Heat Conversion Through 3D Scalable Palm Fiber for Energy Efficient Photothermal Solar Steam Generation” in Wiley Solar RRL, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 7.9.
