2024 Conference on Malaysian Chinese Education and Language Inheritance Held at XMUM
The Conference on Malaysian Chinese Education and Language Inheritance was successfully concluded at Xiamen University Malaysia on April 20, 2024.Hosted by Department of Chinese Studies, Xiamen University Malaysia, this event was sponsored by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Malaysia and supported by the National Language Committee of China’s Overseas Chinese Language Research Center and Beijing Normal University’s Global Chinese Comparative Studies Center.

IPIRC Visited Asian International Arbitration Centre
On the morning of April 8, 2024, at the invitation of Mr. Bryan Richard, the Head of Business Development at Asian International Arbitration Centre, Professor Long Xiaoning, Director of the Intellectual Property and Innovation Research Centre (IPIRC) , Xiamen University Malaysia, and Mr. Gan, a renowned legal expert from Gan & Zul, visited the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), with their delegation. Mr. Bryan Richard, the Head of Business Development, and Ms. Ng Chu Yin, the Head of Legal at AIAC, warmly welcomed the faculty and students and held a productive meeting.

Dr. Lai Sin Yuan and Team Publish in Materials Today Sustainability
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Assist. Prof. Dr. Lai Sin Yuan from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for the recent publication in Materials Today Sustainability, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 7.8.This is a collaborative research involving Prof. Dato' Seri Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The collaboration stems from a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) established between Xiamen University Malaysia and Universiti Sains Malaysia from 2022 to 2025.

Ts. Dr. Vincent Woon and NESE Students Publish in Building and Environment
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Kyle Sebastian Mulya, Ng Wai Lam, and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Vincent Woon Kok Sin from Department of New Energy Science and Engineering, School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for their recent review article published in Building and Environment, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 7.4. Kyle Sebastian Mulya and Ng Wai Lam are both pursuing their master’s degree at XMUM.

Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is placed 3rd in Malaysia based on Nature Index Ranking from 1 December 2022 to 31 November 2023, marking continual progress in the University's research excellence.Nature Index is an open database that tracks institutions and countries and their scientific output. The Index tracks contributions to research articles published in high quality natural science and health science journals, chosen based on reputation by an independent group of researchers.
