XMUM Wins the Group First Prize at the 2nd International Chinese Proficiency Competition (Singapore and Malaysia)
XMUM students achieved outstanding results at the 2nd International Chinese Proficiency Competition (Singapore and Malaysia) held in May 2017, winning the first prize in international group competition, as well as 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes in individual competition. XMUM team was supervised by Prof. Wang Xiaomei, the programme coordinator of the Department of Chinese Studies.

Vice Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Prof. Datin Paduka Dato' Dr. Aini Ideris led her team to visit Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 4 April 2018.Prof. Dr. Aini was accompanied by UPM Deputy Vice Chancellors for Academic and International, for Students’ Affairs and Alumni, for Industry and Community Relations, and the heads of UPM’s Corporate Strategy and Communications Office, Library, Research Management Centre, Bursar Office, Center of Academic Development, and Office of the Vice Chancellor.

Minister Counsellor Chen Chen, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Malaysia, paid a visit to Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 30 March 2018. Prof. Colin Grant, Vice-President (International) of the University of Southampton, UK, visited Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 6 March 2018.
