Traditional Chinese Medicine Students Begin 28-Week Internship in Yunnan, China
On 23 August 2025, 25 students from the 2021/04 intake of the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), arrived in Kunming, Yunnan, China, to begin a 28-week clinical internship at the First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine (Yunnan Provincial Hospital of TCM).
XMUM Students Excel in International Medical Innovation Competition
Students from the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), won one Gold, one Silver, and one Bronze Award at the 11th China Undergraduate Medical Innovation Tournament & The Belt and Road International Competition Grand Finals, held from 16–18 August 2025 at Shandong University, Jinan, China.
XMUM Co-Organizes International Conference on Traditional Chinese Medicine
School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM), Xiamen University Malaysia co-organized the 4th International Conference on Health Promotion of Appropriate TCM Techniques and the 2025 Academic Annual Conference of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies: Specialty Committee of Evaluation and Promotion of Chinese Medicine Appropriate Technology. The event was held at INTI International University at 25 July 2025.
Prof. Chen Shaodong Publishes New Book on Tongue Diagnosis
The School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) has published a new academic book titled A Beginner's Guide to Tongue Diagnosis: Understanding Health Through the Tongue (《舌诊入门指南—通过舌头看健康》). Edited by Prof. Chen Shaodong, Dean of STCM, the book is published by Fujian Science and Technology Publishing House.Prof. Chen Shaodong also serves as Chair of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) Specialty Committee of Tongue Research and is a scholar with extensive experience in traditional Chinese diagnostic techniques.
TCM Students Contribute to Community Health Efforts in Seremban
Twenty-four students from the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), took part in the Sin Chew Carnival and the 112th Anniversary Charity Sale on 13 July 2025, held at Seremban Chung Hua High School.The event, organised in collaboration with the Negeri Sembilan Chinese Physicians' & Druggist's Association, aimed to promote public health awareness through traditional Chinese medicine.
