Final Year Undergraduate Publishes on Hazardous Gas Removal in SCI Tier 1 Journal as First Author
Research Management Center congratulates final year undergraduate student Anupreetha Parthiban from Chemical Engineering Programme on publishing a review article entitled “Disposal methods, health effects and emission regulations for sulfur hexafluoride and its by-products” as the first author.The review paper was published online on 14 May 2021 in the Journal of Hazardous Materials (latest Impact Factor: 9.038).

How to properly dispose of used cooking oil? Recently, Re:oil, a green startup comprised of 12 undergraduates from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), gave the perfect answer to this question. By collecting used cooking oil from small eateries across Malaysia and selling it to eco-friendly factories, they have achieved profitable growth while meeting sustainable targets.
Dr. Vincent Woon Kok Sin Receives CrossCulture Programme Fellowship
The Research Management Center congratulates Dr. Vincent Woon Kok Sin, an Assistant Professor of XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, for being selected to participate in the remote CrossCulture Programme of ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), Germany.As a recipient of this remote fellowship, Dr. Vincent Woon would be able to attend a 6-month online thematic training and an intercultural workshop with a host organization in Germany. In addition, an ifa grant will be provided to support Dr. Vincent Woon’s research activities.
