Undergraduate Yeow Teck Ann Receives 2022 POPSIG Student Research Project Bursary
Yeow Teck Ann, a third-year undergraduate in Chemical Engineering Programme, was chosen as one of the three recipients of the 2022 IChemE Palm Oil Processing Special Interest Group (POPSIG) Student Research Project Bursary. Sponsored by Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), the bursary is committed to promoting palm oil-related research among undergraduates and postgraduates undertaking 6-month original research related to the palm oil sector.

Chemical Engineering Student Publishes in Journal of Molecular Liquids
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Teh Jia Leang and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rashmi Walvekar from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for the recent article published in the Journal of Molecular Liquid, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 6.633. Teh Jia Leang has graduated from Xiamen University Malaysia with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering earlier this year. He conducted the project under the supervision of Dr. Rashmi Walvekar, the corresponding author of this article.

The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rashmi Walvekar from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for co-authoring a peer-reviewed article in Advanced Functional Materials, a top-tier materials science journal that reports breakthrough research in all aspects of materials science, including nanotechnology, chemistry, physics, and biology with a 2021 impact factor of 19.924.
New Energy Science and Engineering Postgraduates Publish in Advanced Functional Materials (IF: 19.924)
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Lim Yen Pei, Jason Koay Soon Chye, Prof. Chen Binghui, Asst. Prof. Dr. Haw Choon Yian and Asst. Prof. Dr. Gan Wee Chen from School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for publishing a research article in Advanced Functional Materials, a journal with an impact factor of 19.924. This is a collaborative research with Xiamen University, University of Auckland and University of Malaya. Dr. Haw Choon Yian and Dr. Gan Wee Chen are the article’s corresponding authors.
