1st Annual Forum for Early Career Scientists in Marine Science Held at XMUM
Spearheaded by China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences (CAMS), Xiamen University Malaysia, the 1st Annual Forum for Early Career Scientists in Marine Science was successfully held at XMUM from 14 to 15 March 2024.The forum aims to provide a platform for early-career scientists in the field of marine sciences to share knowledge and connect with other budding researchers and senior scientists.
CAMS Student Awarded MTSF's Science & Technology Research Grant 2023
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Adrian Chan Wen-Jie, a master’s student from China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences (CAMS), Xiamen University Malaysia, on receiving the Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) Science & Technology Research Grant 2023. Adrian Chan Wen-Jie is one of twelve recipients of the MTSF Science & Technology Research Grant 2023, chosen among more than 400 applications nationwide.
South China Sea Annual Meeting 2023 Held at XMUM
South China Sea Annual Meeting 2023 was held at Xiamen University Malaysia during 3-5 November 2023, under the theme The South China Sea under Climate Change: Multi-scale Dynamics and Their Ecological and Environmental Effects. Over 120 scholars and student representatives from US, Australia, China and Malaysia attended the meeting.
Dr. Ng Chuck Chuan Receives 2023 Merdeka Award Grant for International Attachment
Dr. Ng Chuck Chuan, an Assistant Professor at the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences (CAMS), Xiamen University Malaysia, has been selected as one of the five recipients of the 2023 Merdeka Award Grant for International Attachment.

6 XMUM Academics Secure Research Funding by the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme 2023
The Research and Postgraduate Centre extends its congratulations to six XMUM academics who have secured the prestigious grants under the Ministry of Higher Education’s Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS). The six recipients, from School of Electrical Engineering & Artificial Intelligence, School of Energy & Chemical Engineering, China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences, and School of Economics & Management, have collectively been awarded a total of RM 639,946.
