XMUM and Dublin Business School Sign MOU on 3 May 2018
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) and Dublin Business School (DBS) on 3 May 2018.The signing ceremony was conducted during a visit by Prof. Andrew Conlan-Trant, Executive Dean of Dublin Business School, to XMUM. Prof. Conlan-Trant and his team were warmly welcomed by XMUM President Prof. Wang Ruifang and other members of the university top management.

XMUM Signs MOU with Australian National University on Academic Collaboration
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) and Australian National University (ANU) on 25 April, 2018.The signing ceremony was conducted during a delegation visit led by Prof. Shirley Leitch, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of ANU, to XMUM. The delegation was warmly welcomed by XMUM President Prof. Wang Ruifang and other members of the university top management team.

129 Principals and Deputy Principals from 80 SMJKs Visit XMUM
On April 2018, 129 principals and deputy principals of 80 Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan (SMJK) visited Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM). Led by Mr Tan Teik Seong and Mr Lim Hiang Lam, Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively, of the Council of SMJK Principals Malaysia, the guests were warmly welcomed by XMUM staff and students.

About 400 Undergraduate Students Join XMUM in April 2018
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) welcomed 393 undergraduate students on 20 & 21 April, including 148 new applicants and 245 progressing students from XMUM Foundation Programmes. With this new batch of students joining the university, the total student enrolment of XMUM reached about 3,300.

XMUM Wins the Group First Prize at the 2nd International Chinese Proficiency Competition (Singapore and Malaysia)
XMUM students achieved outstanding results at the 2nd International Chinese Proficiency Competition (Singapore and Malaysia) held in May 2017, winning the first prize in international group competition, as well as 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes in individual competition. XMUM team was supervised by Prof. Wang Xiaomei, the programme coordinator of the Department of Chinese Studies.

XMUM Welcomes 560 New Foundation Students in April 2018
560 new foundation students registered for the April intake of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 13 & 14 April, making the total enrollment of XMUM over 3,200 students.
