Biography

Dr. Mohamad Aslah bin Mohamad is a dedicated aquatic vaccinologist with a PhD in Vaccine and Therapeutics from Universiti Putra Malaysia. His research focuses on the development of innovative vaccination and therapeutic strategies for disease control in aquaculture, with particular emphasis on feed-based vaccines targeting bacterial pathogens in farmed fish. He began his academic career as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Bioscience, Universiti Putra Malaysia, where he specialized in aquaculture and fish health management under the HiCoE project on Animal Vaccines and Therapeutics, funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. He is currently a Lecturer at Xiamen University Malaysia, where he continues to advance the field of aquatic animal health while mentoring the next generation of scientists.
