XMUM Chinese Studies Students Head to XMU for Study Tour
41 staff and student representatives from the Chinese Studies Programme of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) took a one-week study tour to Xiamen University China (XMU) during the April semester break.With the purpose of facilitating bonds between XMUM Chinese Studies Programme and XMU College of Humanities, this tour gave XMUM students an opportunity to have a taste of Chinese culture and gain a better understanding of the study options provided by Xiamen University.
XMUM Students Organize Mandarin Class for Non-Native Speakers
On 27 November 2018, the very first Mandarin class for students whose first language is not Chinese was launched at Xiamen University Malaysia, providing a convenient and systematic Mandarin-learning channel for all students who are interested to learn the language. Proposed and organized by the Student Association of Department of Chinese Studies, it becomes an important platform for students from the Programme to demonstrate their professional knowledge and to practise teaching skills learnt in the major core course “Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language”.
50 XMUM Students Go Back to XMU China for Study Tour during April Semester Break

Media experts praise XMUM students for insightful thoughts on journalism
10 students from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) earned high praises from international media professionals for their insightful thoughts on media practices at Malaysia-Singapore Media Forum held in Singapore earlier this month.The students, from Programme of Journalism and Programme of Chinese Studies, were commended for their critical perspectives on the current media consumption trends, especially among the younger generation.
