XMUM Student Presents at International Conference on AI Stock Prediction

"Everything in life is doable" - this simple yet powerful phrase reflects Dr. Hakim Abdulrab's approach to life. Raised in Taiz, Yemen, a bustling city famous for its Mocha coffee production, Hakim Abdulrab developed a strong sense of perseverance and self-motivation, which have guided him throughout his academic journey. "I have always been self-motivated, earning scholarships throughout my academic journey," he recalls.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Students Visit MIMOS Berhad
On 6 December 2024, a group of 27 students from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, accompanied by their lecturers, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Wong Shen Yuong and Dr. Mohammadmahdi Ariannejad, visited MIMOS Berhad, Malaysia's national Applied Research and Development Centre. This visit offered the students an exceptional opportunity to gain practical exposure to the real-world applications of their academic studies.

Prof. Zhang Yingqian & Team Publish on AI reliability in Applied Soft Computing
Prof. Zhang Yingqian from the School of Electrical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Xiamen University Malaysia, has published a research article in Applied Soft Computing (SCI-Q1, IF 8.7), a Tier 1 and Top Journal listed in CAS (Chinese Academy of Science) Journal Ranking System, as the corresponding author.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates Zhang Yuxin, an undergraduate student from Electrical and Electronics Engineering Programme, Xiamen University Malaysia, for winning Silver Medal at the International Creative Innovation Idea Competition (ICIIC) Series 1/2024.Titled “Optimization Cooling System of Photovoltaic Thermal Collectors System for Sustainable Green Technology”, the winning project was conducted under the supervision of Ts. Dr. Kang Chia Chao.
