Dr. Wang Changsong Awarded Best Presenter at Global Conference on Business and Social Sciences 2021
Research Management Center congratulates Associate Prof. Dr. Wang Changsong, Head of Departments of Journalism & Advertising, for being awarded the Best Presenter at 12th Global Conference on Business and Social Sciences (GCBSS) 2021, which was held during 8-9 October 2021.
Dr. Tan Poh Ling Published in SSCI journal as Corresponding Author
The Research Management Center congratulates Asst. Prof. Dr. Tan Poh Ling from XMUM Department of Advertising for her recent publication in Journal of Marketing for Higher Education, a SSCI Q2 journal with an impact factor of 3.156, as the corresponding author.Entitled “Corporate Social Responsibility and Brand Loyalty in Private Higher Education: Mediation Assessment of Brand Reputation and Trust”, it is a collaborative research with Taylor’s University and Edith Cowan University.
Dr. Wang Changsong Publishes in Media Culture & Society, a SSCI Tier 1 Journal
The Research Management Center congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wang Changsong (Head of XMUM Departments of Journalism & Advertising) for his recent publication in Media Culture & Society, a Tier 1 SSCI journal with an impact factor of 3.272, as the first and corresponding author.

Ding Qiaozi, a 1909 intake Journalism student from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), has joined and reported on the 2021 World Press Freedom Day Global Conference as a member of the Youth Newsroom.
Dr. Yip Chi Kiong Receives Malaysia Toray Science Foundation Award
Research Management Center congratulates Dr. Yip Chi Kiong from Department of Informational and Communication Technology, XMUM, for receiving a RM 2,000 consolation prize from Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) under the Science Education Award category on 25 November 2019. The award is for his research “Controlling a Greenhouse using Sensors for Optimum Growth of Plants”.
Journalism Students Win Four Awards in "Wonderful World" Media Art Exhibition
Earlier this month, three students from XMUM Journalism Programme made the university proud by winning four awards at 3rd Wonderful World International Student Public Welfare Media Art Exhibition in Shanghai.Concurrently held in Malaysia and China, this event attracted a number of aspiring students from 30 universities across 13 countries to produce videos or animations with the theme of “Human and Animal”.
