Department of Journalism & Advertising Hosts 2nd International Conference on Media Science and Digital Communication
During 3-4 December 2022, the Department of Journalism and Advertising, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) hosted the 2nd International Conference on Media Science and Digital Communication (MSDC) 2022 virtually, with the theme Resistance and Responsibility.
Advertising Student Wins Gold Award at Research & Innovation Poster Competition
Eunice Lee Eu Li, an undergraduate student from XMUM Advertising programme, has won the Gold Award at Final Year Project & Postgraduate: Research & Innovation Poster Competition (Series 2/2022) for the category of Degree Final Year Project Social Sciences and Humanities.
Department of Journalism and Advertising Co-hosts the 7th World Conference on Media and Mass Communication 2022
XMUM Department of Journalism and Advertising co-hosted the 7th World Conference on Media and Mass Communication (MEDCOM) 2022 on 5-7 May 2022. This online event contained 7 keynote speech sessions and 47 oral presentations by researchers and professionals from 35 countries. This is the third time that the Department of Journalism and Advertising has collaborated with the International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) to organize this conference.
Department of Advertising & Journalism Signs MoUs with TusStar & Yellow Leads
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with TusStar Malaysia and Yellow Leads for XMUM’s Advertising Programme.The MoUs aim to promote collaboration between university and industry, and to identify potential industrial training projects to help Advertising students gain practical experience.
With X-Pression, XMUM Journalism Students Record Stories of 2021/09 Semester
Department of Journalism and Advertising, Xiamen University Malaysia has published the second issue of their student-run newsletter X-Pression, featuring events throughout the September 2021 semester.The newsletter, which is the product of an editorial committee of 15 journalism students, aims to record events and stories written by student reporters of the Journalism Programme.
