Zambia’s Minister of General Education Visits XMUM
His Honourable David Mabumba, Zambia’s Minister of General Education, visited Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 8 August 2019. Accompanied by XMUM President Prof. Wang Ruifang, His Honourable was briefed about the development of XMUM and toured around the campus.During the visit, His Honourable David Mabumba inspected XMUM’s IT hub as well as several teaching and research laboratories of XMUM’s China-ASEAN College of Marine Science. He also met with representatives of Zambian students currently studying at XMUM and kindly inquired about their lives here at the university.
Newcastle University Business School Signs MoA with XMUM
Newcastle University Business School (NUBS) signed Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 24 July 2019 in the presence of NUBS Director, Prof. Sharon Mavin and XMUM Assistant President, Associate Professor Dr. Zhang Ying. The signing ceremony was witness by NUBS team as well as the Dean and Assistant Dean of XMUM School of Economic and Management.
Cardiff University Expands MoA with XMUM
On 18 July 2019, Cardiff University signed the supplemental MoA with Xiamen University Malaysia to broaden the partnership between the two universities, with special focus on providing postgraduate pathways for XMUM students.According to this agreement, XMUM students can enjoy the following privileges:
Australian National University Seeks Collaboration with XMUM in Engineering Fields
College of Engineering and Computer Sciences (CECS), Australian National University (ANU) is seeking potential collaboration with Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) in the field of engineering, said Dr. Adrian Lowe, Associate Dean of CECS during a visit to XMUM.On 21 June 2019, Dr. Adrian Lowe and Ms. Audrey Teo, Acting Manager of International Recruitment & Partnership, visited XMUM and discussed about initiating postgraduate pathway for XMUM students entering ANU CECS for postgraduate studies.
University of Texas, Arlington (UTA) signs MOU with XMUM
University of Texas, Arlington (UTA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 21 May 2019.The MOU was signed by Dr. Teik Lim, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of UTA, and Prof. Wang Ruifang, President of XMUM.The purpose of the MOU is to promote institutional exchanges and establish postgraduate pathways for XMUM students to enter UTA. It also aims to facilitate joint research and joint hosting of academic symposia and conferences.
University of Missouri-Kansas City Shares Postgraduate Information
On 5 April 2019, Prof. Kevin Z. Truman, Vice Provost for International Affairs, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), visited Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) to meet with President Prof. Wang Ruifang. During the meeting, Prof. Truman mentioned some special privileges that XMUM students can enjoy when applying for UMKC postgraduate program, which include:
