University of Texas, Arlington (UTA) signs MOU with XMUM
University of Texas, Arlington (UTA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 21 May 2019.
The MOU was signed by Dr. Teik Lim, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of UTA, and Prof. Wang Ruifang, President of XMUM.
The purpose of the MOU is to promote institutional exchanges and establish postgraduate pathways for XMUM students to enter UTA. It also aims to facilitate joint research and joint hosting of academic symposia and conferences.
The University of Texas, Arlington is a public research university located in Arlington, Texas, United States, midway between Dallas and Fort Worth. UTA has the third-largest enrolment of university students in Texas and offers over 180 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs. According to U.S. News & World Report, UTA ranked among the 100 best engineering school in the country.
At UTA, students can select from a variety of postgraduate majors, ranging from Business to Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences to Science. For each postgraduate program, students have the option to study either by coursework or by research.
The International Affairs Office of XMUM will continue to explore other areas of potential collaboration with UTA for the benefits of XMUM staff and students.
