A delegation from Singapore Amoy Association visited Xiamen University Malaysia on November 22 2022, seeking academic cooperation between the two parties.

The visit was led by Mr. Ang Kah Joo, President of Singapore Amoy Association. Kua Bak Lim, a well-known historical researcher in Singapore and Malaysia, Chan Soo Sen, the former Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office in Singapore, Lim Pheck Hong, the 85th Anniversary Works Council, Lim Mei You, the Vice President of Youth Group, and Wu Xin Xia, the head of Hokkien Lecture Society attended the visit.

Assoc. Prof. Zhang Ying, Vice-President of Xiamen University Malaysia, Prof. Wang Xiaomei, Head of the Chinese Department, and Assoc. Prof. Hue Guan Thye, Director of the Centre for Research on Southeast Asian Chinese Document greeted the guests. 

During the discussion, the two institutes expressed mutual interests in establishing greater academic collaboration. The delegation later visited the Center for Research on Southeast Asian Chinese Documents, enlisted their support for the development of exceptional young people and conferred on the publication of the Association anthology.
