XMUM Welcomed the Largest Intake of Foreign Students
XMUM welcomed the largest intake of foreign students since its inception.
Students from 20 provinces in China have arrived in Malaysia to embark on their academic journey at this new campus. The number of students stands at 481 currently with around 50 more to come by the end of this week.
Unlike last year when all students gathered at Xiamen and took chartered flights to Malaysia, this year students departed from various provinces of China and arrived at Malaysia at different hours. About 20 staff of the University took turns to stand by at the airport to guide students and parents through immigration and then drove them back to the campus.

Before the official commencement of their undergraduate studies, students are required to take a short period of Intensive English Programme to better prepare them for their future studies at XMUM where most of the programmes are conducted in English.
On 23rd and 24th September, various briefings, icebreaking activities and games will be held to familiarize the students with the campus and its facilities and introduce them to the wide array of academic, intellectual, leadership, cultural and social experiences available at XMUM.
As compared to last year, the scores that students achieved in the National Higher Education Entrance Examination of China (Gaokao) are considerably higher this year, which not only shows an improvement on the student quality but also indicates an increase in the popularity of the university.
XMUM is committed to building a multicultural campus where students can expand their international exposure and global perspective.
