The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Ir. Dr. Liew Chia Pao from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering on securing the Higher Education Research Grant (GPPT) 2025 under the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Ir. Dr. Liew has been awarded a total grant amount of RM 45,300 for his research titled Exploring the Integration of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Malaysian Undergraduate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education: Perspectives of Academic Staff and Stakeholders. Only seven researcher receives this grant, with all others coming from public universities. 

Introduced in 2022, GPPT is an initiative based on the MQA Strategic Planning 2021 – 2025 under Strategy 1.3, Strengthening Future Learning Research and Publication. It is an expansion of the scope to research in collaboration with a group of external experts based on the theme of Future Learning/Flexible Education. The GPPT supports research projects that generate new ideas aligned with MQA's functions, have the potential to enhance existing policies, and contribute meaningfully to national development.
