A feast of lectures, laboratory training, and academic discussions, the summer school aimed to strengthen collaboration in electrochemistry research and education between the two universities and the region.

Since 2009, the XMU Electrochemistry Summer School has offered courses covering fundamental theory, research methods, and applications in the field, as a training platform for young researchers in China.

The opening ceremony on 29 July was attended by Prof. Jiang Yunbao, Dean of CMIIAS; Dr. Zhang Ying, Vice President of XMUM; Prof. Ren Bin, Dean of XMU's College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; Prof. Huang Nay Ming and Prof. Wang Xiang, co-chairs of the summer school committee; and Prof. Zhang Hongliang.
