XMUM Project Among Only Two Selected Nationwide for PPRN 2026 Presentation
A research project from the STARGAZE Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) was selected as one of only two projects nationwide for featured presentation at the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN) Conference 2026, officiated by the Minister of Higher Education, Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir.
Dr. Lai Sin Yuan and Team Secure Gold Award and Best Research Article Award at SIRAC
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Asst. Prof. ChM. Dr. Lai Sin Yuan, Dong Hongwei, and team from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, for their recent achievement in the Semarak International Research Article Competition (SIRAC). The team has won Gold Award in the research article competition and Best Research Article Award in Green Technology category.

The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates graduate student (Class of 2025) Mai Tao, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chew Sook Chin, Asst. Prof. Dr Norazira Abdu Rahman, and Dr. Pang Swee Yun from the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Jian Ping from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, on their recent research article published in Ultrasonics Sonochemistry, an SCIE Q1 journal with an impact factor of 9.7.
