If you have visited the 2nd floor of XMUM Library for the past few days, you may have noticed that a “tree” is growing on the wall.On 6 October 2023, a sharing session for the “Knowledge Tree” project, the first-ever Artist-in-Residence project at Xiamen University Malaysia, was held at A3 Library.

XMUM Students Win National Excellent Prize at 15th China Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates eight teams from Advertising programme for receiving prizes at the 15th National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students, China.Among them, a team of five - Qi Xinyue, Wen Huiyi, Wang Yurong, Di Yikun and Jiang Huizi - earned the National Excellent Prize award for their idea “Fantasy Play”. The team is advised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wang Changsong, the Head of Department of Journalism and Advertising.

Dr. Iffat Ali Aksar from Department of Journalism and Advertising Publishes SSCI Q1 Paper
Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Asst. Prof. Dr. Iffat Ali Aksar from the Department of Journalism and Advertising published an article entitled “Small world sampling: Qualitative sample reliability and validity for efficient and effective recruitment of journalists as research participants” in the journal Journalism (SSCI Q1, IF:3.194). Dr. Aksar is the corresponding author and this is a collaborative work with Associate Prof. Dr. Amira Firduas from the Department of Communication Studies, Universiti Malaya.

Dr. Wang Changsong Wins the Session Best Presentation at MEDCOM 2023
Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Associate Professor Dr. Wang Changsong, the Head of the Department of Journalism and Advertising on winning the Session Best Presentation at the 8th World Conference on Media and Mass Communication (MEDCOM) 2023, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 16 to 17 March 2023.
