Mother's Day Bouquet Workshop Blossoms at XMUM Library
Xiamen University Malaysia Library successfully hosted the "Bloom & Bond: Mother’s Day Bouquet Workshop" on 20 May 2026 at the Level 1 Instruction Room, with over 60 students expressed interest, and all 12 slots were fully occupied.
Organised in conjunction with Mother's Day, the workshop aimed to provide participants with an opportunity to express appreciation and creativity through the art of bouquet arrangement. Participants were introduced to basic flower arrangement techniques, bouquet wrapping skills, and creative styling methods in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

The workshop was conducted by XMUM Library staff member Mr. Sulfrin Sulaiman, with assistance from Ms. Tan Huoy Chyng and Mr. AL-Farhan. Throughout the session, participants were guided step-by-step in arranging and wrapping their own flower bouquets using a variety of fresh flowers and greenery, including Peach Avalanche roses, smoke grey eustoma, pink limonium, daisies, eucalyptus baby blue, and fern leaves.
During the session, participants learned how to match wrapping paper colors with flower tones while enhancing the overall bouquet presentation. Although guidance was provided throughout the workshop, participants were also encouraged to personalize their bouquet designs according to their own creativity and artistic preferences.
Participants left the workshop with their beautifully arranged bouquets, taking home a heartfelt creation made by their own hands.
