The Xiamen Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra (XMPO) performed at the Gala Dinner of the ASEAN Technology Cooperation and Development Summit (ATCDS) 2025 on 25 November, which was organised as part of Malaysia's fifth ASEAN Chairmanship and in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the ASEAN Community.

ATCDS 2025 brought together delegates from government agencies, universities, industries, and investment institutions to discuss regional cooperation in science and technology. XMPO was invited to provide the evening’s musical performance, presenting seven pieces that included selections from Disney, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Phantom of the Opera, Aladdin, Canon in D, a Christmas medley, and a Michael Jackson tribute.

The performance offered an opportunity for XMUM students to contribute artistically to a regional event and to engage with participants from various sectors. It also reflected the university’s support for student involvement in activities that connect arts, culture, and community engagement.
