XMUM Hosts Intercultural Exchange Programme with Confucian Private Secondary School
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) hosted an intercultural exchange programme titled "Zun-Xia Lingering Rhymes" (尊·厦清韵), welcoming 43 students and three teachers from Confucian Private Secondary School.
The programme was organised by the XMUM Tea Club with the aim of promoting cultural heritage appreciation and strengthening engagement between secondary and tertiary education institutions.
The programme began at 10:00 AM with a campus tour, during which visiting students explored key university facilities, including the XMUM Library, and were introduced to the university’s academic environment.
This was followed by a tea culture exchange session, where both institutions shared and demonstrated traditional tea preparation practices. Students from Confucian Private Secondary School presented Menghai Ripe Pu-erh Tea, while XMUM Tea Club members showcased Anxi Tieguanyin.
The session provided an opportunity for informal interaction between students from both institutions, allowing them to exchange cultural perspectives and share academic experiences. The programme concluded with a token exchange and a group photograph to commemorate the visit.
