Student Activities Fill XMUM Campus with Energy
TCM Week 2022 by TCM Society
In collaboration with TCM Student Union, TCM Week 2022 was held from 19 to 25 September 2022 by XMUM TCM Society, to spread traditional Chinese medicine knowledge among students and provide a learning platform for the society members.
The event includes sub-events such as seminars, exhibitions and knowledge competitions, as well as various teabag and sachet workshops, funfair, practical and sales booths, all receiving positive responses from the participants.
A total of 90 committee members and helpers helped organize the event. All of them were XMUM students.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Dance Club
A dancing concert themed A Midsummer Night’s Dream was presented on 8 October 2022 by XMUM Dance Club, receiving great feedback from the audience.
It is also the first and biggest event ever held by Dance Club at Music Island.
A visual feast lasted for three hours, the artwork was inspired by the dilemma faced by the artists in the past two years. The performances illustrated the happiness and euphoria dream in Shakespeare's Back Garden in the first chapter, which turned out to be a dream and started the second chapter with performers struggling back to reality. In the end, the story encouraged the audience to take the challenges bravely and courageously face the difficulty.
ACRUX Cheerleading, 24 Festive Drum, Philharmonic Orchestra, Yanan Chinese Orchestra, and XMUM Music Club also provided a series of enjoyable performances to the audience, immersing them in the depth of the whole story told by the emcees.
Deepavali Day Celebration by Wordsmith Society
To celebrate Deepavali 2022, Wordsmith Society organized a celebration event on 18 October 2022, encouraging students to embrace cultural diversity and the festival atmosphere, despite race and cultural background.
Starting at 7pm, the event went smoothly with performances showing up in turns, bringing visual and auditory stimulation to the audience. Mini-games were designed to enrich participants’ experience, while the snack test booth and the souvenir booth opened their eyes. The Kolam competition went on during the whole event, resulting in ten astonishing artworks.

Halloween Event - Ghost O’ Clock by First Aid Society
A Halloween event named ‘Ghost O’ Clock’ was held on 31 October 2022 by the First Aid Society, which aimed to boost the campus atmosphere and help students adapt to the unfamiliar environment with fun activities.
The event was open to all of the staff and students at Xiamen University Malaysia, attracting approximately 430 people.
Different kinds of booths - costume booth, make-up booth, food and beverage booth, and merchandise booth - as well as entertainment including the haunted house and costume contest, boosted the atmosphere of the event. The Coffee Club and Tea club were also invited to present different beverage selections to the public.

Participants dressed up as various characters to attend the Halloween party, immersing themselves in the Halloween atmosphere. The costume contest effectively brought the event to a climax.
