Lift Technician - Operation & Maintenance Office
Role and Key Responsibilities
- Required to conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspections to detect lift wear, misalignment, faults, or deterioration
- Able to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or control system failures, and carry out lift corrective repairs
- Respond to emergency calls for entrapment and breakdown.
- Able to test system performance and safety devices (e.g. brakes, door sensors, overload sensors) and ensure compliance with safety regulations。
- Maintain detailed records/logbooks of maintenance, inspections, repairs, parts used, and service tasks performed.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, management, and vendors for lift parts, permits, or projects as needed.
- Provide guidance or demonstration to users on safe usage of the lifts.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Maintain lift systems, troubleshoot faults, and safely assist individuals trapped in lifts.
- Required Competencies & Skills
- Technical knowledge & mechanical aptitude: Understanding of lift mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, wiring, control systems.
- Troubleshooting & problem-solving: Diagnosing faults under pressure, prioritizing repairs, thinking methodically.
- Technical diploma or certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience (1-3 years or more) in lift or related mechanical/electrical maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of local codes, safety standards, regulatory compliance in lift system
