Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup Awarded ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholar Award 2022

The Research and Postgraduate Center congratulates Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for being chosen as the recipient of the ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS). 

As an ACYLS awardee, he will undertake a fully-funded short-term academic and research collaboration on heterostructures with Dr. Zhao Xiaoxu from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Peking University, China.

This is the third time that Dr. Andrew has been awarded ACYLS. Last year, he worked on energy storage and conversion materials with Prof. Lu Jianguo from Zhejiang University, China.

ACYLS is a dedicated project for nationals of ASEAN countries, especially young and promising professionals with working experience in ASEAN member states. The aim of the ACYLS is to increase people-to-people exchanges, strengthen educational cooperation and promote academic communications and linkages between China and ASEAN member states, in an effort to build a closer community of shared future.

 

About Dr. Andrew Ng

Dr. Andrew Ng is a Lecturer at the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, XMUM. With research focuses on energy conversion and storage materials, he has published 32 ISI-indexed articles and peer-reviewed 48 ISI-indexed articles in SCI journals on catalysis, energy conversion, and storage materials. Currently, Dr. Andrew Ng  has postgraduate openings for his FRGS and industrial projects. Interested candidates are welcome to contact him at andrew.ng@xmu.edu.my
