Speaker Introduction

Gui Yaoting is an associate professor at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Xiamen University. He earned his PhD from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) under the supervison of Prof. Li Jiayu and subsequently worked as a research visitor at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences. He later became a Postdoctoral researcher at the Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research (BICMR) in Beijing.

Abstract

We introduce various curvature flows in asymptotic flat spaces and study their stability property using a powerful analysis tool called center manifold analysis. In particular, we can construct foliations in asymptotic flat spaces. This is based on joint work with Prof. Sun Jun and Prof. Li yuqiao.
