Biography

Dr. Muhammad Shahzad Aslam earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Universiti Malaysia Perlis. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xiamen University Malaysia. Also, he serves as an Adjunct Assistant Researcher at the School of Medicine, Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xiamen University, China.

Since joining Xiamen University Malaysia in 2018, Dr. Aslam has been actively involved in both teaching and research, with a strong commitment to integrating phytopharmaceutical sciences into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) education and advancing interdisciplinary curriculum development.
His research expertise spans phytochemistry, metabolomics, polyherbal formulations, and green extraction technologies, with a particular focus on wound healing, neuroprotection, and metabolic diseases. To date, he has authored more than 106 peer-reviewed articles in international journals, with an h-index of 19 and an i-index of 34.

Beyond journal publications, Dr. Aslam has served as editor and contributor for several books covering topics in pharmacology, sustainable pharmaceutical development, and artificial intelligence in education. His work is dedicated to fostering knowledge, innovation, and bridging traditional medicine with modern scientific approaches for global impact.
