Research Interest
His research interests include cognitive & corpus linguistics, applied linguistics and translation studies. Most of his publications are focusing cognitive linguistic aspects in translated texts English – Arabic – English, particularly relating to fundamental research issues, such as the cognitive construal and conceptual metaphors found in the English translated texts of the Qur’an and implications of these conceptualised aspects to the collective understanding of its readers, and the mechanisms of new-word formatting in Arabic (emerging with the advancement of technology and industry). Al-Saggaf has published several scholarly articles in high indexed and ISI publications such as Cognitive Linguistic Studies, Modern Journal of Language Teaching Methods, International Journal of Quranic Research
