Biography
Dr. Shaidah Jusoh is a friendly, warm-hearted, and dedicated individual. She currently holds the position of an assistant professor of artificial intelligence at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at Xiamen University Malaysia, which is an overseas branch of Xiamen University, China. Additionally, she also serves as an associate fellow of the Institute of Visual Informatics (IVI) at the National University of Malaysia, a member of editorial board for Intelligence & Robotic journal. Dr. Shaidah has over 15 years of teaching experience, having worked at various universities in four countries: Malaysia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. She had successfully supervised the completion of 3 PhD students and 11 Master's thesis students across these institutions. She has served as external examiner for Master and PhD theses. Prior to her current role, Dr. Shaidah held several administrative positions at different universities, such as Head of the Computer Graphics department at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology in Jordan (2018-2020) and currently Internal Quality Chair. Dr. Shaidah has secured research grants from various organizations and grantors throughout her career. Her current responsibilities at Xiamen University Malaysia include conducting research in the field of artificial intelligence, teaching undergraduate courses, supervising final-year projects, overseeing internship students, and participating in administrative tasks.
