Biography

I have an inherent passion for broadcast and new media. I have almost ten years of experience in industry and teaching. Industry experience includes FM-Producer at AIOU (5 years) and Operation Manager – FM SZABIST Islamabad campus (one year). I also had the opportunity to work with international media i-e Dubai TV as a Researcher (Islamabad-based office) and Inter-news as a producer to highlight social issues particularly faced by women and children. In teaching as Assistant Professor, transferred practical knowledge to students in courses like Radio production, Development Support Communication, Media research Digital Journalism, Production Practices, Script Writing, Event Management and Idea Development. I did my Ph.D. from University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2021 with five publications. I also developed the Social Media usage and Needs Scale, which researchers highly request. I am also honored to be a pioneer member of Islamabad's Educational Broadcasters Forum (EBF). This forum brought educational broadcasters and campuses radio to the same platform to empower society with the latest knowledge and devise a plan for mutual broadcasting, sharing resources and exchange of programs to combat the commercial chain of radio.
