On 28 November 2025, a delegation from the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) visited Xiamen University (XMU) and held a symposium and academic talks with the School of Medicine.

Ms. Xin Xiaodan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Medicine, welcomed the delegation and expressed hopes for deeper cooperation in joint talent cultivation, coordinated scientific research, and clinical exchange between the two campuses.

Prof. Dr. Chen Shaodong, Dean of the School of TCM at the Malaysia campus and Head of Programme of the Department of TCM at the School of Medicine, thanked XMU for the warm reception. He expressed his expectation that the TCM disciplines of both campuses would further integrate and develop, and jointly present the achievements of traditional Chinese medicine on the international stage.

During the symposium, faculty members from both sides shared their experiences in TCM teaching, clinical practice, and approaches to integrating traditional theories with modern technologies.

Following the symposium, Dr. Lim Chee Hoong and Dr. Wong Guo Lin from Malaysia campus, delivered academic talks entitled “The Five Zang Organs Storing the Spirit in the Inner Canon” 《〈内经〉之五脏藏神》, and “A New Perspective on Tremor Rehabilitation: Approaches from the Vestibular System and Cerebellum” 《从前庭与小脑入手：手抖康复治疗的新视角》, respectively.
