​On 30 September 2025, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM), Xiamen University Malaysia held its orientation activity to welcome the largest intake in its history - 95 new students from the 2025/09 intake.

The orientation began with welcoming remarks from Prof. Chen Shaodong, Dean of STCM, who congratulated the students on joining the School's largest-ever intake and encouraged them to make the most of their studies. Dr. Lim Chee Hoong, STCM Student Union Advisor, offered additional words of encouragement, while Dr. Chep Lee Lu Siang, Head of Programme, introduced the faculty, curriculum framework, and academic expectations.

To support a smooth transition, student representatives from the STCM Student Union, Supervisory Committee, Herbal Garden, and XMUM TCM Centre shared their experiences and explained the resources and support available throughout their studies.

The event also included ice-breaker activities designed to help students connect and build relationships with their peers. The day concluded with an award ceremony, a group photo session, and well wishes from faculty and senior students.
