NESE Student Wins Second Prize in Best Presenter Award at 5th SPIL Conference

Published on November 29, 2021

The Research Management Center congratulates the final-year student Ng Wai Lam from Department of New Energy Science and Engineering (NESE), XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, for winning the 2nd Place in the Best Presenter Award at the 5th Sustainable Process Integration Laboratory (SPIL) Scientific Conference 2021.

During the conference, Ng Wai Lam virtually presented her paper entitled “Evaluating the Life Cycle Embodied and Operational Energy of Green-Certified and Conventional Office Buildings: A Case Study in Malaysia”. Completed under the supervision of Dr. Vincent Woon Kok Sin, this paper is a collaborative work with two other NESE students, Chin Min Yee, who is currently pursuing her master’s degree at XMUM, and Ching Ann Ying, who has graduated earlier this year.

It is also worth mentioning that her presentation video is one of the conference's top 10 most viewed presentations, which were selected from more than 100 presentations this year.
