Chemical Engineering Student Triumphs at TECHSIC 2025
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates undergraduate student Theresa Grace from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for winning the Gold Award in the Innovation and Creativity Excellence category of the poster competition at TECHNOVATION Week 2025, held from 1 to 5 December at SEGi University, Kota Damansara.
She also received the Finalist Achievement Award.
Competing against students from various local universities, Theresa was recognized for her innovative ideas and creative solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her project was supervised by Assistant Professor Ir. Dr. Wong Voon Loong from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering.
TECHNOVATION Week 2025, themed "Young Minds, Bold Innovations", provided a platform for students to present their projects through poster exhibitions, which were evaluated on creativity, practical application, and relevance to SDGs. The week-long event also featured Final Year Project and Integrated Design Project showcases, along with workshops on technical skills, professional communication, and career readiness, further bridging academia and industry.
