School of Computing and Data Science, Xiamen University Malaysia hosted a strategic meeting on 20 August 2025 with the Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB), to explore potential collaboration in Software Testing and Requirement Engineering.

Dr. Chandra Reka, Head of Programme for Software Engineering at XMUM, led the session. Representing MSTB were Prof. Madya Dr. Rozilawati, Director of MSTB; Norazura Md Saad, MSTB representative; and Pn. Norlida, Financial Controller at MSTB.

MSTB, a national industry-driven organization established in 2008, is affiliated with the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB®). The board focuses on promoting software testing standards and supporting academic institutions through its Academic Outreach Program (AOP). This program helps universities embed certification-aligned content into their curricula, better preparing students for industry needs.

During the session, both parties discussed opportunities for student engagement, including webinars, industry talks, test design competitions, internship promotion, and participation in MSTB’s annual SOFTEC Asia conference.
