Dr. Burra Venkata Durga Kumar & Teams’ Projects Accepted by International Innovation ARSVOT Malaysia

Two research projects from XMUM School of Computing and Data Science have been accepted by International Innovation ARSVOT Malaysia (IAM2022), an exhibition that highlights innovation in teaching and learning, as well as provides an avenue for sharing innovative ideas, products, and expertise .

Designed by Dr. Burra Venkata Durga Kumar, Dr. The Jia Yew, Teo Hao Jing and Loong Qing Zhe, the project of “Smart Patient Information Registration System (SPIRS) using IoT” aims to improve the current registration system in medical centres and collect the information of patients using technologies including sensors, Wi-Fi and cameras.

Another accepted project - “XMUM Table: Smart Desk Navigation” by Dr. Burra Venkata Durga Kumar, Liu Aofan, Ang Chen Jia and Wong Ken Kay - proposes a table that can adjust its height and angle via an app designed by the team, allowing users to interact with the table, such as checking how long they have been sitting there. 

Hosted by the Association for Researcher of Skills and Vocational Training, IAM2022 consists of three main events which are innovation competition, conference and workshop, which will be held online from 25-26 June 2022.
