Research Management Center congratulates Dr. Sang Kun from XMUM Department of Advertising on publishing a research article in Remote Sensing, a tier-1 journal, as the first author.

Remote Sensing is an international journal covering all aspects of remote sensing science. It is a Q1 journal in Earth Sciences (miscellaneous) with a latest impact factor of 4.509. Prof. Silvia Elena Piovan from University of Padua, Italy is the article’s corresponding author.

The article entitled “Assessing Railway Landscape by AHP Process with GIS: A Study of the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway” proposes an integrated spatial assessment for Yunnan-Vietnam railway (YVR) heritage landscape. The article discusses the relationship between railway and landscape, building a comprehensive evaluation system for the railway heritage landscape. The article will be useful for future urban planning, development and policymaking.

About Dr. Sang Kun

Dr. Sang Kun is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Advertising of XMUM. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of Padua, Italy in 2021. His research interests mainly focus on tourism and cultural heritage. He has published several research articles in SCI-indexed journals of interdisciplinary studies. He is a reviewer for several SCI-indexed journals as well.
